Lanterns

Lanterns at Kek Lok Si
All red in Thean Hou temple
Happy Chap Goh Meh to everyone!  Last day of CNY, as well as, the Chinese Valentine's day.

A day for girls to throw oranges into the river/lakes/ocean/anything watery to wish for love.

Anyway enjoy some pictures of lanterns I took while in Kek Lok Si, Penang and Thean Hou temple. Just love the colours and the composition..haha (ok , I am kind of self praising my skills again)

Fireworks

One of the greatest perks of staying in a condo is that I get to view many many fireworks at one go especially during festive season.

This time, it happened during the ninth day of the Chinese New Year, also known Pai Tin Kung for the Hokkien. I think it is more happening that the new year's eve itself.

The fireworks lasted for 2 hours until 2am. Since I cant sleep, might as well I enjoy the view.

Goodbye 2011, Hello 2012

My first day of 2012 started with me falling sick and first day of work in 2012 started with me being very emotional. I guess it's time to move on after being stuck in the status quo for the past 7 years.

Anyway, a recap of 2011. I had the most amazing year minus the year end work anxiety.

Visited 6 countries in total this year; Taiwan, New York, London, Nepal, Tibet and Bhutan

Went to Penang after more than 20 years and ate fried kuey teow for breakfast, lunch and dinner. I am kind of having kuey teow phobia now.

Move in to a place I called home and am so proud of my own design and selection of furniture.

Bought my dream EOS 7D.

Had my first experience of photographing a wedding event.

But the best of 2011 is ....

Falling in love :)
