Toledo, Spain (17 May 2009)

Once we reached Madrid in the afternoon, we went to the bus station to get our tickets to Toledo. Toledo is small town about an hour away from Madrid and sits atop of a hill. My advise is to take the local bus from the Toledo bus station up to the main town centre instead of walk. We walk up the hill for almost an hour under the Spanish and almost k.o. by the time we reached the top. Lesson learnt: at least bring an umbrella!!

The town is like a gigantic maze with spiralling medieval streets. We got lost several times but worth the experience as we manage to see some astounding buildings and scenary. We spend a good few hours here before taking the bus back to Madrid.
